| Job Description: |
Computan is looking for a DevOps engineer/hosting administrator to assist developers and clients with hosting related inquiries.
Below are some of your roles:
- Set up dev and staging environments for websites to be deployed to
- Help developers and clients in moving websites live Including switching DNS, managing redirects and doing light testing for any issues
- Monitor, backup and manage plugin updates in WordPress
- Troubleshoot down websites and remedy where appropriate
- Troubleshoot folder permissions or server-related issues developers encounter when performing web development.
Your background:
- 2-4 years experience in a web development or hosting environment
- Previous experience working with WordPress and updating plugins, taking backups and troubleshooting hosting issues related to WordPress site development
- Knowledge of Digital Ocean, Cloud flare, WHM/cPanel and RunCloud
- Deep understanding of the web development process and site migrations
- Knowledge of (or intense desire to learn) how to clean infected/hacked websites a huge plus
