Job Description:

In this role, you will be managing the various API integration projects for our global event platform and assist the other team members of the team. Working with show organizers, other customers, and other partners, you will create new API integrations, and enhance existing integrations, in accordance with each customer’s specific requirements, partnering closely with existing API team members and our broader technical team to bring these integrations to life. Working as an extension of the customer’s team, you will elicit requirements and brainstorm solutions, partnering with them on all phases of the project including agreeing on the scope and timing of the integration, data mapping, development, testing, and implementation (including support during their actual event) and post-implementation review, capturing learnings and using these to enhance the integration going forward.

Responsibilities we will trust you with:

  • Work with customers and integration partners through initial discovery, building, and delivery of technical architecture, as well as troubleshoot any issues that arise, to ensure fast, accurate, compliant, high-quality delivery of data;
  • Evaluate integration possibilities with partners to advise and determine the scope and feasibility/technical hurdles of any proposed integrations, including review of technical API architectures, security/privacy requirements, data elements, and any development requirements and specifications that the technical teams will need to build;
  • Own the prioritization and pipeline of integrations and implementations, managing to customer deadlines;
  • Deliver data integrations that speed and simplify the experience of working with our platform and enable the automated delivery of data;
  • Ensure compliance with all regulations, policies, and procedures;
  • Serve as the go-to resource for integration knowledge, both internally and externally, so that there is a clear understanding, with supporting documentation, of all integration capabilities, limitations, configuration parameters, options, and pitfalls;
  • Clarify the needs of our API frameworks, enhancing the accessibility and usability of new and existing endpoints;
  • Ensure timely responses and customer service to our clients using our integrations and those seeking new integrations;
  • Implement and refine processes to ensure integrations are rolled out and coordinated as effectively as possible;
  • Communicate enhancement/improvement/defect opportunities to the development team in order to improve the user experience for users of the integrations;

Skills we would like you to bring to the team:

  • Bachelor’s Degree; any technical certifications are a plus;
  • 1-2 years of experience with large scale integrations & APIs, including data mapping, software integration engineering, technical project management, and business requirement gathering;
  • Strong understanding of web service architecture, RESTful APIs, Postman, authentication protocols, JavaScript, JSON, and XML;
  • Understanding of the structure of web-based user interfaces, including HTML, CSS, URLs, and URL parameters;
  • Working knowledge of PHP, SQL, and IQL;
  • Working knowledge of GDPR and other privacy regulations;
  • Working knowledge of information security protocols and best practices;
  • Excellent customer service, and interpersonal skills;
  • Excellent communication skills in English (written and spoken);
  • Ability to deal with global clients. Open to travel to client’s site/event site as needed;
  • Ability to work under pressure, organize and prioritize responsibilities in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and remain calm when dealing with real-time, live event issues;
  • Collaborative, team-oriented mindset;
  • Strong project management skills;
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented.
