Functions

Job Description:

    • To implement Livelihood activities under the emergency response and early recovery projects
    • The Project Officer Livelihood must ensure that they understand the program strategy for all activities they are implementing, and related objectives, activities, intended outcomes, beneficiary criteria etc
    •  Implementing field activities according to the program strategies defined by the ACTED Project Coordinator/Senior Project Officer and endorsed by the Deputy Area Coordinator;
    • Providing technical guidance, training and support to individuals targeted by each project in line with the program strategy and intended output[s];
    • Working closely with the community mobilization team to ensure proper supervision and monitoring of ACTED activities;
    • Properly recording all activities according to the processes defined by the Project Coordinator/Senior Project Officer and endorsed by the Program Coordinator;
    • Providing regular progress reports to the Project Coordinator/Senior Project Officer regarding outputs achieved and progress of work;
    • Providing relevant records of implemented activities to the Database team in a clear and timely manner, for entry and update;
    • Ensure timely implementation of livelihood activities.
    • Support field staff for the timely implementation of activities at field level.
    • Document in the timely manner, all progress challenges, and learning for future implementation of similar projects and accountability.
    • Lead assessment in the operational area for livelihood interventions.
    • Conduct regular field visits to verify quality /progress of Livelihood Program interventions provide technical guidance and advice.
    • Over all coordination of project activities.
    • Works closely with the Team leader and logistics team to ensure all supply request related to the seed system and agriculture inputs project activity are done timely and according to procedures.
    • Monitor budget / expenditure and report variances to the Team Leader in a timely manner for proper planning and adjustment.· 
    • Directly manage the seeds and fertilizer distribution project in the designated Union Councils to improve food security of targeted households.
    • Provide technical support to the Partner Project staff working on seed and fertilizer distribution, guiding and supporting them in technical and administratively on activity implementation procedures.
    • Support, train, and advise the volunteers whose roles are to mobilize the community and help in a day-to-day implementation of the project activities in a given location.
    • Providing capacity building and training in cash transfer programming, enterprise development, agricultural support and livestock support to partner staff. 
    • Coordination with Govt. Line Departments.
    • Attend external coordination meetings upon request from the Project Coordinator/ Area Coordinator;
    • Accomplishment of any other task, assigned by the Project Manager, related to the Project activities.

Pillar 3 – Social cohesion and access to basic services – ACTED improves access to basic services through a range of measures including support for educational institutions, community infrastructure and local governance. Social cohesion is a key component to ensuring equitable service provision. ACTED’s interventions include the establishment of local representation bodies as well as supporting the rights of women, minorities and marginalized groups;
Pillar 4 – Environmental protection and community resilience – This pillar aims to mitigate some of the effects of recurrent disasters, climate change and environmental degradation. Interventions start at a household level, such as construction of fuel efficient
