| Job Description: |
This role will be responsible for the implementation and execution bank branch network infrastructure. Installation, management, maintenance of Branch/Data Center network devices. Also performs a variety of complex professional and technical duties related to the installation, maintenance and configuration of the computer network including network, Routers, Switches, Firewalls, LAN and WAN.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Include the following.
Responsible for the management of structured & network cabling, planning and implementation for all sites. Management of all network devices including, Routers, switches, firewalls, access points and monitoring tools. Provide level 2/3 support for onsite and remote technical issues. Implementation and execution of VPN’s connectivity with 3rd parties and branches. Responsible for the management of all CORE / DR and branch network operation. Responsible for the deployments and integrations of new connectivity links. Responsible for integration and connectivity for all Branches, CORE and disaster recovery site. Ensure the connections is secure and meets the SBP requirements. Responsible for the monitoring, configuration and installation of all network equipment’s in branches. Responsible for the IT disaster backup for the branches. Responsible for the branches connectivity and ensure 99.5% uptime. Responsible for all sort of routing with the service providers to ensure the connectivity of branches, Core site and disaster recovery site. Responsible for the connectivity of ATM machines services / banking application throughout all branches in Pakistan. Responsible for the execution of new network hardware to branches and data centers. Purchasing and maintaining networking equipment and infrastructure for the branches.
COMPETENCIES
- To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies:
Banking experience is an advantage. Strong hands on experience implementing and troubleshooting Cisco Network equipment, protocols and features e.g. VPN, Firewalls, IPS/IDS, routers, switches LAN/WAN. Manage all network hardware equipment including routers, switches and firewall. Understands, installs and configures network equipment utilizing varied protocols such as TCP/IP, BGP, EIGRP, OSPF, LACP, PAGP, VRRP and HSRP. Technically proficient with all current and potential concepts of the IT industry. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Supervises the work of the network technical staff. Ability to work under pressure and should have excellent vendor management skills. Flexibility to work on odd hours and quick decision maker.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- BS/MS degree in IT / Computer Science OR BSc Computer Engineering or Telecom Engineering from a reputed institute in Pakistan or Abroad.
- Cisco certifications CCNA or CCNP will be preferred
- Minimum of 03 years of prior experience in an implementation & execution of networking infrastructure preferably in banking industry.
- Strong hands on experience for VPN integration i.e. Flex VPN, DM VPN, IPsec, GRE tunneling and remote access VPN.
- Prior hands-on experience of all sort of multivendor network devices and network applications is highly preferable
